A petition for the Hôtel de la Marine

local/cache-vignettes/L290xH171/Gabriel_Marine_small-9dfc0.jpg27/10/09 – Heritage – Paris, Hôtel de la Marine – The Amis de l’Hôtel de la Marine, whose president is Olivier de Rohan-Cabot, has just launched a petition on the internet addressed to Prime Minister François Fillon, asking him « to preserve [this building] in its entirety and maintain for it an eminent vocation in service to the nation. » The petition can be signed at this address. We encourage the readers of The Art Tribune to add their names.

At this time, we would like to point out as well that another petition also concerning the Marine Nationale (Navy) which opposes the destruction of the buildings by the Perret brothers at Baltard (see our article, in French) is still open for signatures.
