27/3/09 – Acquisition – Fontainebleau, Musée national du Château – The château of Fontainebleau has finally succeeded in acquiring the Albani painting after several months (see news item of 10/10/08).

Thanks to a major contribution from the Fonds du Patrimoine at the Ministry of Culture and Communications (1.140.930€) and patronage from several companies [1], Neptune and Amphitrite or Allegory of the Seas (ill.) has been reunited with two other coppers belonging to the same series.
