28/4/14 - Acquisition - Los Angeles, County Museum of Art - Last November, the Hubert Duchemin Gallery exhibited a small version of Ingres’ Odalisque, recently rediscovered and whose attribution we found convincing. We refer our readers to the news item of 11/11/13 to find out more about this painting which was recently acquired by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art [1].
Until now, the American museum did not own any paintings by the master from Montauban, only two drawings : a study after a nymph from Jean Goujon’s Fontaine des Innocents and a portrait of a man (Thomas Church).
