The Sassenage furniture sale cancelled

4/6/08 — Heritage — Château de Sassenage — The High Court of Paris which had until the day before the sale, scheduled for 30 May 2008, to hand down its ruling has cancelled the auction of the furnishings in the Château de Sassenage which we have talked about here extensively already.
Thanks to the action undertaken by the Conseil Général de l’Isère the wishes of the benefactress, until now overlooked by the Fondation the France, will thus be respected. Let us hope that both parties will be able to reach a permanent agreement for the preservation of the collection. They have some time to do so.
